We have an ambition to reach net zero carbon emissions in our production by 2030 and across our entire value chain by 2040, maximize the circularity of products and processes and contributing to the health of local watersheds.
We are a brewing company, and water for us is more than just a key ingredient in beer. It is security, productivity, and sustainability. We strive to help communities by prioritizing the health of local watersheds, especially in water-stressed areas. Burqaa initiative (BI) is a water balancing and livelihood improvement project to protect water resources in water-stressed areas.
World Vision and Acacia are our implementing partners to reduce environmental degradation, increase water balance by 190% in Harar and 192% in Bedele, and improve the livelihoods of the community in Hakim Gara catchment, Harari Regional State and Dabena River Catchment in Bedele district Buno Bedele Zone of Oromia regional state.
